Updates

Yesterday Bethanie and Sadie went with my parents, Aunt Kimmy, and Uncle Jeff to take Uncle Chad to the MTC.
Sadie told Chad on Tuesday that he didn't look like a missionary at all. As soon as he put on his tag at the MTC, Sadie was satisfied that Chad actually was fit to be a missionary.
We enjoyed listening to Chad speak in church on Sunday. He did a wonderful job. He talked about Ammon and his service. Ammon is Chad's favorite Book of Mormon hero.
It was really neat when the stake president mentioned Ammon in Chad's blessing when he was being set apart. He told him that he would be blessed with the missionary abilities of Ammon. How great is that? Isn't the priesthood a wonderful thing?

Brady has had a tough week. On Monday night we found out that Sadie's cold really wasn't a cold... Sadie had RSV and she passed it to her newborn baby brother.
Brady has been doing outpatient treatments twice a day at the hospital and he uses a nebulizer at home every 4 hours. Poor little guy!
I have had requests to add a couple of more recent pictures. One of these was taken today. Brady seems to be doing a little bit better today. His numbers were better at the hospital this morning and his breathing sounds better. YES!

Keep the Change

The other day Uncle Chad was having my mom cut his hair. He was sitting on a chair in the kitchen shirtless.
Sadie told him that he had a "mushbeard" on his legs. Then she pointed out the "mushbeard" on his stomach.
She then looked at his chest to find more "mushbeard". Instead she found something different.
She said, "Chad, you have BIG NICKELS!"

An Outting

As of Tuesday my girls are enjoying the mild winter weather in Southern Utah with my parents.
It is pretty funny to talk to my mom on the phone and hear her saying, "Wait, Sadie. No, Sadie. Just a second, Sadie." "Bethanie, don't hit your sister. It doesn't matter what color the cup is..."
I guess that is what I sound like on the phone when they talk to me. :)

Yesterday afternoon my dad decided to play Mary Poppins and he took the girls on an outting. They ran errands, went to a museum, and finished off the afternoon with ice cream at McDonalds. What a fun afternoon... until Sadie announced that she had to use the bathroom, and they don't happen to have family restrooms at McDonalds.
After a bit of drama and blood curdling screams, my dad ended up in the women's bathroom trying to intervene.

Grandma and Grandpa are having fun, but they sure sound exhausted. LOL! My kids couldn't be enjoying themselves more.

As for Sean and me... We got about 6 hours of sleep last night!! WOOHOOO! I haven't seen more than 3 in almost two weeks! I feel like a new woman. Hurray for prayers and "gripe water". (Baby tummy medicine)

Don't Kill

My kids are getting colds again. We are really pushing the anti-bacterial hand stuff with the girls.
Sadie asked Sean why she needed to use the hand sanitizer. He told her that it killed the germs.
Sadie said, "NOOOOOO!!! I don't want to KILL MY GERMS!"

Oh... and...

Sean made an offer on a house on Saturday afternoon while I was sitting in the hospital with a brand new baby.
The offer was accepted yesterday. Fingers crossed that all goes well and we close on the 14th of March!

20 Inches

I looked up a centimeter to inch conversion chart. :) Brady was 20 inches long.
We are home and he is adorable and sweet. He is getting more sleep than any of us. :)

He's Here!

Brady Calvin was born at 2:04am on February 9th. He was 7lbs 8.5 ounces. We are still trying to figure out how long he is because the nurse wrote down 51 centimeters.

Pictures to follow!

Candy

Yesterday Sean asked Sadie if she knew why we celebrate Valentine's Day.

She said, "Dad, we celebrate Valentine's day for candy!"

Duh!

The Final Countdown

If I had to be perfectly honest, I would have to say I haven't been the very best of mothers the last few days.
I have been living off of very little sleep, I am having constant contractions, and to top it off "God opened the clouds and said, I hate you Alfalfa", when I woke up with an awful cold and sore throat yesterday morning. :)
My kids are being very patient and very helpful, for the most part. I am sure they can't wait to see their mom get off of the couch!
We are trying to take things one day at a time. My mom will be here Saturday evening. Everyone is looking forward to that.
Last Friday my dr told me that I wouldn't make it to my induction on Tuesday the 12th, I would go in to labor first. At the time it sounded great, but it truly was an awful thing to say to a person! Every moment of every day I am trying not to think about it. :P
So- that is why I haven't been updating my website with cute things my kids are saying. I am in a cloud and they usually have to repeat something a few times to get me to respond.
Stay tuned for some pictures... this baby will come. :)
