Dictatorship?
Sadie: "I make the rules in Sadieland. I'm the principal, I'm the bishop, and I am the mayor."

Words To Live By
Me: "Bethanie, are you crying about this game?"
Bethanie: "No! I am not crying! (She whimpers)
Brady: "Bethanie, you don't need to cry unless there is a monster around."

A Child's Prayer
Brady: "Dear Heavenly Father, thank you we could put up the Christmas tree today. Thank you we could live on this earth. Thank you that we have an air hockey table to put things on top of."

Gratitude
Yesterday was Thanksgiving. We had an abundant amount of food to eat. (We even had a pumpkin pie.) We had a lot of smiles. There was a lot of love. I think the "quiet" dinner with the five of us was just what the doctor ordered. It has been a blessed and busy year.
This year we are all thankful for our family. We are thankful for the gospel. We are all thankful for good friends. We are thankful for our warm home. Brady is thankful for firetrucks and choo choo trains.
Happy Holidays

Take 2
My favorite part of Thanksgiving Eve was when I dropped the pumpkin pie, upside down, about 1.5 seconds after pulling it out of the oven.
Pumpkin Pie; Take 2 , is now in the oven.
I am grateful that I had enough to whip up a second one!

Curious, Isn't It?
I try to avoid nylons at all costs. Sometimes they are just necessary. Yesterday I actually put some on. Brady stared at my legs for quite some time before asking, "Mom, WHAT color is your leg??"

Today's Soundtrack
Brady keeps walking around the house singing, "Chica, mohw, mohw, mohw, that's what my baby says. mohw, mohw, mohw".
It's kinda catchy.

Oh Mom...
Sadie: (In her most sophisticated tone) "Oh mom, can I ask you a favor? Can you please stop calling me a "good girl". It sounds like you are talking to a toddler."

Brady's Favorite Joke
Since September Brady has been telling the same joke AT LEAST once a day. It goes like this;
"Knock Knock"
"Who's There?"
"Banana"
"Banana Who?"
"Why did the Banana cross the road?"
"I don't know"
"To get to the honey."
Blink... blink.
Yeah, he's hilarious.

Brady, My Big Helper
Yesterday Brady decided to help out by bringing the dog poop that was in the backyard in to the house. He said it shouldn't be on the ground.
He does have a point, but I think I would have "handled" the situation differently.

Adios Escuela!
Sadie: "I think I am done with school now. I don't need to go back."
Me: "Oh, you think you have enough education? There is nothing left to learn?"
Sadie: "I know enough. I can count to 10 in Spanish."

How About Real Estate?
Me: "Brady, what do you want Santa Claus to bring you?"
Brady: "I want Santa to bring me a choo-choo train!"
Me: "Is there anything else you want?"
Brady: "Money!"

The Holiday Spirit
Me: "Sadie, are you going to be grumpy again today?"
Sadie: "No, mom. I can't! I have to get off the naughty list from yesterday!"

I Want To Cuddle
This morning Brady told me that he really needed me to sit down and cuddle with him. I sat down on the couch. Moments later Brady was "sitting" next to me... on his head.
