I TWO!

Me: "Wesley, what do you want for your birthday?"
Wesley: "Birthday cake!"
Sean: "What do you want to do on your birthday?"
Wesley: "Sing happy birthday to you!"

Wesley Sean is a talker. He says words and sentences that make our jaws drop every day.
He listens to everything that we say and watches everything that we do. He even watches everything that we wear! When my mom was here helping out, Wesley helped her by telling her which clothes belonged to each family member. He was right every time. Not even his dad can do that.
Wesley's favorite food is anything with a lot of sugar in it. It's hard to get him to eat much else.
 Wesley has given all of the kids their nicknames;
Bethanie: MeMe
Sadie: DeeDee
Brady: BeeBee
Wesley: Wesee
Jolie: Baby Jojo

Wesley has the best giggle and we hear it often.

For his birthday he got planes, train tracks, a lot of trucks, tools, and some preschool videos.

Everything is Awesome

For Brady's 6th birthday party, Sean took Brady, Bethanie, Sadie, and 6 of Brady's friends to see the Lego movie. Afterwards they came back to the house singing a very repetitive song from the movie, and ready for cake and ice cream.

It was an awesome party!

Celebrating Brady

Brady is 6 years old today. We spent today celebrating with our family. Next week he and his dad are going to go with a few of his friends to see the new LEGO movie that just came out.

Brady chose to have waffles, bacon, and fried eggs for breakfast. He announced that he would not be doing chores today. (It's Sunday, so not a big deal.) He chose "dad's chili and mom's cornbread" for his birthday dinner. Because he will have a cake next week, he decided he wanted cookies and ice cream sundaes for dessert today.

Brady is really in to Wild Kratts right now. He loves learning new things about animals. He is doing a great job in kindergarten and has enjoyed learning how to read, etc. He can't clean his room unless the cd "The Safety Kids" is playing in the background. If that is playing, he is a cleaning machine. His favorite kind of pizza is cheese pizza. He loves playing with his siblings, and is a really good big brother. He is a very happy kid and we are grateful his is part of our family.

Bowl Bath

Apparently last year, when Sean and I decided that we were done having kids, we threw away our baby bath.
Of course we were not done having kids, because Jolie is now here and part of our family. We are so very glad.
We didn't realize that we threw away our baby bathtub until Sunday afternoon when we decided she was ready for her first full bath. Hmmm... No bathtub.
We used what I felt was the next best thing.... the Halloween candy bowl. She's sweet enough.

We did order a new bathtub, and it should be here this coming week. I think it will be a little more pleasant of an experience for her than the bowl bath.

Baby Jojo

Baby Jolie arrived here last Friday, January 31st. She decided to cut it close and was born at 11:19pm, so she didn't have to share a birthday month with her brothers.
She was 7 lbs 5 ounces and 18 1/2 inches long.
She was born 40 minutes before she would have been 37 weeks gestation, so she was considered a preemie.
Unfortunately, her siblings were not able to go to the hospital to meet their new sister, due to the visitor ban at all surrounding hospitals. They did meet her on Sunday when we got home and they are totally in love.
