Sean and the kids taught Wesley how to say "Halloween". They tried to get him to say "Trick or Treat", but he just wouldn't do it. Sean settled for the next best thing. He figured they would go with what Wesley already knows.
If Wesley comes to your door on Halloween, you will hear him say, "Two please!"

Cookies and Carving
We spent family night carving pumpkins. Our kids won't stop reminding us that they didn't get to carve pumpkins last year. I guess we were busy?

We've Chosen a Name
After at least a hundred suggestions from friends and family, we have decided on a name for the baby girl that will be joining us in February.
The name that we (yeah... it was mostly me...) have chosen is
Jolie Starlyn
Jolie- Origin: French; Meaning: pretty, merry
Her middle name is after my mother.
Thanks to everyone for all of the suggestions. You can stop now... really. We've got it. I mean it..... This is it. ;)

Officially a Runner
Sean ran his first official race on Saturday, Oct 19th.
The day ended up being beautiful. It was sixty degrees, sunny, and a perfect fall day. Unfortunately, it didn't start that way. Sean woke up at 6:30am to 44 degrees and steady rain. By the time the race started at 8:30am the temperature had dropped to 40 degrees.
The bad weather continued until shortly after he was home.
Sean ran 13 miles in 2 hours and 7 minutes. He was pleased with that time, but already talking about beating it. We are all very proud of him.

Grammar Police!
This morning Brady and Sadie were having a random conversation when suddenly Sadie gave a loud exasperated sigh.
Sadie: "Brady! Come downstairs with me so I can teach you about subjects and predicates and how to speak in correct sentences!"

Please Don't Say That to Your Teacher
Brady: "Don't forget to put the weed in our shake!"
Me: "Weed?! I don't put weed in your shake."
Brady: "You know, mom. That powder stuff with the grass in it."
