Entertaining a newborn and a 4 year old during the day does not leave a whole lot of time for deep cleaning. Our family has been very busy on the weekends, and it has been a couple of weeks since our house has gotten some real TLC.
Sean was telling me that we really needed to make sure to do some cleaning this weekend. Our house was looking kinda shabby. I had just sat down to feed the baby, yet again, and decided to turn on a tv show that I had recorded a few days before, but had not had time to watch.
Brady, who wanted to watch one of his own shows, yelled, "Mom, you have been watching t.v. ALL DAY LONG! It's my turn!"
Of course that caught his dad's attention right away, as he had just been talking about how we needed to clean.
Brady is a stinkin' little liar head. : P

Role Playing
I had to take all four kids to the doctor's office the other day. We were in the waiting room when the kids decided to start bickering. We had recently had a lesson about being a "Peace maker". I told Brady to stop provoking his sisters. He needed to be a peace maker.
He responded, "I shouldn't be a provoker, (it didn't sound exactly like that word, but that was what he was trying to say), because that is what Satan wants, right?"
Me: "Right"
Brady: "Heavenly Father wants me to be a peace maker, right?"
Me: "Right."
(Here is where he starts talking very loudly.)
Brady: "Hey, Sadie! Let's pretend you are Satan! You try to provoke me and I will be a peace maker. I can be Heavenly Father. Did you hear me Sadie?? (Still yelling.) You be Satan!"
I can't even imagine what thoughts were going through the minds of those people waiting in the waiting room with us.

Liar, Liar
Brady has recently taken up the habit of lying. His stories get quite colorful. On Sunday he was told to take his church clothes off as soon as he got home and change in to play clothes. He changed and went to play with his sisters. An hour later we noticed that he has changed his clothes again.
Sean asked, "Brady, did you wet your pants?"
Brady: "No, dad"
Sean: "Then why did you change your clothes again?"
Brady: "I realized that while we were at church Pepper, (the dog), came upstairs and peed on my pants. I needed to change them."
Sean: "The dog peed your pants?"
Brady: "Yes."
