Burnt
We have been enjoying some nice, big spring rain storms this month. Quite a few of these storms seem to come with some heavy thunder and lightning. Brady is not a big fan.
Today we were discussing the lightning and every "What if" imaginable that goes along with it.
He ended with this thought; "Mom, I think that people who got struck by lightning would look like toast that has been in the toaster for too long."

He's Really Not a Fan
Me: "Brady, do you want to go on a mission when you are older?"
Brady: "No."
Me: "No? Really? Why?"
Brady: "Because they might call me to go to California, and they have all of those robbers there. I don't want to get robbed."

A Perfect "End"
We started out spring break with Easter weekend and ended it with General Conference weekend! What a feast for the soul!
About a month ago Bethanie saw an idea in the Friend magazine about a family who had a conference concession stand. During the first conference session on Saturday the kids could earn "conference coins" by watching the session and taking notes. Between sessions that day they would pull out a little concession stand to spend their coins. Bethanie decided that we should do this at our house.
I could not believe how well things worked. The kids begged to be able to earn coins during the afternoon sessions as well. My 10, 8, and 5 year old watched ALL FOUR SESSIONS!! They even took notes!
(Brady had me help him write down things that he wanted to remember.)
Sure, we are all sugared up now, but we are also on a lovely spiritual high after the last two days.
The best part about it was that Bethanie did most of the work to put it all together. I just provided a few of the things that were "sold".

Low Key Spring Break
It was a low key spring break this year. We have a lot planned for the rest of the year, so we thought we would take this break nice and easy.
Aside from the kids spending two days with fevers and a stomach virus, the vacation from school went well. It even left me looking forward to summer. Only 9 weeks left!
Here are pics from a park where we spent one of our lazy afternoons. It was lovely!
