Public Display of Affection

Sadie: "Mom, did you kiss dad on the lips when you got married?"
Me: "Yes."
Sadie: "Do I have to kiss a boy on the lips when I marry him?"
Me: "No. No kissing. It is better if you don't."
Sadie: "Oh, good."

Filing a Complaint

Sadie: "Bethanie is two years older than I am. Bethanie has had two more Christmases than I have had. Mom, you and Santa owe me more presents. That isn't fair."

A Birthday Grump

Brady has spent most of this birthday awake. Because he was born just after 1 am, 3 years ago, I mean that quite literally.
First he woke up at 3am with a "crying dream". Then an hour later he "had a problem, he needed medicine". An hour after that he "had another problem, he needed a drink of water"...
He took a nap for an hour an a half around 6am. He is still deciding if we will be celebrating today.
Either way, today is the third anniversary of his birth. He is still obsessed with trains, loves firetrucks, and most recently, monster trucks. He is currently engaged to Isabelle. Right now they are planning on living in his bedroom. Isabelle's mom insists that she be potty trained first. He loves her enough to wait.

Grumpy or not, we are still glad he is part of our family, (although the tantrum he is throwing right now has me leaning towards the "not").

He's a Fan

Brady: "Mom, do we get to drink soda when we watch football?"
Mom: "Yes."
Brady: "I like football."

Brady to Bethanie's friends (from church!) : "My mom and dad clean their butts in the shower."

Brady: "PLEASE MOM, PLEASE!"
Me: "Please what?"
Brady: "Please can I help Bethanie and Sadie clean their room?"
Me: "Be my guest!"
Brady: "YAY! Brady to the rescue!"
