Don't Call Social Services

Today when Brady's preschool teacher asked him how his trip was last week, he responded with;
"I didn't go. My mom and dad went. I stayed home and Sadie and Bethanie watched me."

Just in case Social services wants to know why my husband and I left our three children home alone while we left the state for a week, here are a couple of pictures of them at the wedding reception hall. See! I have proof!

What Do You Say to That?

While on one of the world's longest and headache inducing car rides, (It was 28 hours of driving, people!!), Brady asked for Bethanie to pass him an apple. I guess she didn't look very closely because she chose one with a couple of big, brown spots.

A couple of minutes later Brady said, "Mom and Dad... I can't eat this apple. I think someone farted on it."

Sharing His Talents

 Our family recently spent an evening in a hotel room. The beds were comfortable, there was enough space for all, and we were all set for a great night of sleep.
Brady was the first to fall asleep, and that was that. That kid snores. We all slept off and on between his loud and incessant draws of breath.
The next morning, the conversation went like this;

Sadie: "I didn't get any sleep! I think Brady's talent is snoring."
Bethanie: "If that is Brady's talent, I think that is a talent that he should think about burying."

I Will Have to Report You

Yesterday Brady went over to my friend's house for a while to play with her kids. After being there for three hours, he walked up to her and said; "You need to take me home now. It is ok for me to come to your house and visit, but you can't steal me and keep me forever. My mom would miss me."

Class Clown

Brady: "Mom, I think I am just going to wear a shirt and underwear to church today. It will make Heavenly Father laugh so hard!"

It's Just Not Fair

Brady: "Mom, you and dad share a bedroom, Sadie and Bethanie share a bedroom. I have to have a bedroom all by myself. Can I share with the new baby when it comes?"

I Collect Dirt

My sister collected bears, I collect nativity ornaments for my Christmas tree, my son collects dirt.
I keep finding ziploc bags full of dirt, grass, and rocks all over my house.
