Showing Gratitude

I got a tap on my shoulder at 5am today.
Me: "What Brady?"
Brady: "Thank you"
Me: "Thank you?"
Brady: "Yes, Thank you."
Me: "For what?"
Brady: "For saving me from the cliff."
Me: "Oh yeah, sure. No problem. Ok, go back to bed now.
Brady: "Ok"

Sounds Good

Me: "Brady, how are you feeling?"
Brady: "I am feeling really good. In fact, if somebody tasted me they would say I was SO GOOD!"

K-Nothing like Knoebels

We had a great time at Knoebels amusement park with Sean's family. Bethanie tore it up on every roller coaster they had. Sean had a good time hitting the big rides with Bethanie. I went on one roller coaster before I needed to schedule something with a chiropractor and a physical therapist. Brady's favorite ride was the "Flying Tigers", and Sadie seemed content to do whatever her cousins were doing.
Surprisingly, we lasted until 10pm, when they closed!

For Posterity

There has to be plenty of pictures at a family reunion, (in the Poconos!). We spent a few hours bribing and begging the kids to smile and look happy. We did manage a lot of great family pictures.
By the end of the day, the adults were exhausted.

Half Marathon

Sean and his sisters decided to run a half marathon "for fun". Although I don't see the fun in it, we were sure proud of all of them!

Parenting Tip

The surest way to get my kids to play nicely together is to ask them to do their chores.

Zion National Park

We dragged Sean all bruised and battered to Zion National Park. (Actually, he insisted that he go!)
We wanted to get a family shot, so Sean turned his best side to the camera. By the end of the day he had two black eyes and they were nearly swollen shut, but he said the park was pretty. :P
