Apparently last year, when Sean and I decided that we were done having kids, we threw away our baby bath.
Of course we were not done having kids, because Jolie is now here and part of our family. We are so very glad.
We didn't realize that we threw away our baby bathtub until Sunday afternoon when we decided she was ready for her first full bath. Hmmm... No bathtub.
We used what I felt was the next best thing.... the Halloween candy bowl. She's sweet enough.
We did order a new bathtub, and it should be here this coming week. I think it will be a little more pleasant of an experience for her than the bowl bath.

Baby Jojo
Baby Jolie arrived here last Friday, January 31st. She decided to cut it close and was born at 11:19pm, so she didn't have to share a birthday month with her brothers.
She was 7 lbs 5 ounces and 18 1/2 inches long.
She was born 40 minutes before she would have been 37 weeks gestation, so she was considered a preemie.
Unfortunately, her siblings were not able to go to the hospital to meet their new sister, due to the visitor ban at all surrounding hospitals. They did meet her on Sunday when we got home and they are totally in love.

He Gets His Way
Brady: "When you were pregnant with Wesley, I wanted a brother and I got a brother. Now you are pregnant with Jolie. I wanted a sister and I get a sister. If you had another baby I would just tell you what I want and that is what you would have!"
Yeah... We won't be finding out if that theory is true.

And It's 4PM
Sean: "Brady, have you been a good boy today?"
Brady: "Yes, dad. I think I have."
Brady: "Yep, I don't think I have done one bad thing today!"

Day #5
For a short time the kids thought they would actually get to go to school today. They were ecstatic! They would be going on a two hour delay, but that is even better; sleep in and go to school. Bonus!
It was not to be. At 5am the phone rang. School was cancelled for a 5th day. Here's hoping Monday finally begins the second half of the school year.

Too Much of a Good Thing?
Everyone always looks forward to winter break from school. The holidays are fun, the break from the alarm clock is great, and there is time to rest up and get ready for a new year.
This school year's winter break turned in to something we didn't plan on. It was scheduled for two full weeks. As of today, we are working on two weeks and four days.
We had a big storm come through this last Sunday with 14 inches of snow and temperatures around -20 + windchill. Those temperatures lasted a couple of days, making the street clean up nearly impossible. Even Sean was home from work on Monday and half of Tuesday, due to weather.
Here we are, on Thursday, wondering if the kids are going to school tomorrow. They really are hoping they do! I have never seen my kids so ready to get back. They were completely disappointed to hear they would not be going today.
We have done a few things to fill our time during this vacation. We took the kids to the Children's Museum before the storm hit. They have played with the neighbors quite a bit, breaking in all of their new Christmas presents. We also have tried a few new recipes. We have made soft pretzels, cookies, chocolate muffins, and I am searching the internet today for another fun treat.
Another great way to keep them occupied has been lots of chores. :) They have been very helpful and are keeping things picked up around here. I don't mind that part!
