Me: "Brady, are you cute?"
Brady: "I not cute!"
Me: "Why are you not cute?"
Brady: "Well.... Daddy not cute."

Elmo
Jeff thought it would be terribly helpful to teach Sadie how to talk like Elmo.
I think I might need a straight jacket.

Is She Too Slow or Am I Too Fast?
Why does it take Bethanie 5 minutes to decide what she wants to eat for breakfast?
Why does it take my daughters over 25 minutes to eat a bowl of cereal?
How come I can leave Sadie with a complete outfit sitting next to her, walk over and get Brady out of bed, get him a drink, change his diaper, and get him dressed, and Sadie is still sitting in the same place butt naked?
Why does Bethanie think having her hair brushed and blow dried is a form of torture I like to use to keep her under my thumb?
Why do my children move like molasses?

ALMOST two weeks
Two weeks ago we decided as a family, (or it was me and sorta, kinda Sean), that we were going to go two weeks without sweets to see how we felt.
The kids have done pretty well. There hasn't even been a lot of complaints.
This morning I was one of the moms in charge of breakfast for the seminary kids. I took a few boxes of donuts and had some leftovers when we were done.
Technically, we aren't supposed to be done with our challenge until Monday, but I didn't want to waste perfectly good donuts. So,I let my kids have one for breakfast.
Sadie sat at the table with the boxes surrounding her. She sighed the most content sigh I have ever heard escape her lips. She than said, "Oh mom, I am surrounded by sweets. I am happy."

Words
We have had the stomach bug at our house. That includes a fever over 100 and throwing up. Brady is the last one to get it.
He has been trying to communicate to me how he feels and what he needs. I think he is doing a great job.
Last night he was either sitting with Sean or myself, holding as still as possible. He looked up at me and said, "Mom, BONK HEAD!" The poor kid had a headache.
This morning he told me he had an owie tummy and he needed "al-gator". I finally figured out that "al-gator" meant Gatorade.

Modern Art
What are those?

Why, napkins taped to my wall, of course! Why would you even have to ask, silly?
You want to wipe off your face? Hmmm, sorry. I keep buying napkins and somehow I am always out.
I am not sure how, but this next piece of modern art made it on to regular, ole, (probably NOT recycled),paper.

Thank you to Sadie, who is saving us hundreds of dollars on having to go out and purchase the real stuff.

...And a Happy New Year!
Twenty-Ten is here! We had a great Winter (Christmas!) break and we are ready to charge ahead.
I realized that I did not post any pictures from Christmas on my blog. Because this is my version of family history, anyone who reads this blog is subject to occasional boring posts for posterity's sake. :)
My all time favorite picture of my little man so far. What a Super toddler he is!

Although Sadie gets a lot of "air time" on this blog, she really is a sweetheart to the core. She is very loving, affectionate, and thoughtful. She was our angel in our little family Christmas pageant this year.

Bethanie is such a big helper around our house. She is such a fantastic big sister. She takes really good care of her brother and sister. We were delighted to see that Santa thought she was a good girl too. He brought her the only thing she wanted for Christmas.

Sean and I are looking forward to 2010 and all of the new adventures coming our way. We pray that all of our friends and family have a fantastic year!
